Karachi: Engro Powergen Qadirpur Ltd (EPQL) announced a 15% year-on-year increase in net revenues for the first half of the calendar year 2026, reaching PkR6.1 billion. The rise in revenues was attributed to increased power generation and a reduced period of scheduled gas outages, according to the company’s analyst briefing held earlier today.

According to AKD Securities Limited, EPQL's power generation reached 378 gigawatt-hours (GWh), marking a 4% increase from the same period last year. This improvement resulted in a load factor of 41%, compared to 39% in the same period last year. The company benefited from a shorter scheduled gas outage of 10 days, down from 20 days in the corresponding period of the previous year, and the addition of incremental PEL gas.
