Exchange Rate Movements: Minor Adjustments Noted Across Major Currencies

Islamabad: The latest data from the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) indicates minor fluctuations in the buying and selling rates of major currencies including the USD, Euro, GBP, JPY, AED, and SR between July 31 and August 1, 2024. The Interbank rates for the USD remained stable over the period.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the USD saw a slight decrease in both buying and selling rates, moving from 279.27 and 280.50 to 279.26 and 280.49 respectively. Similarly, the Euro increased slightly in the buying rate from 300.35 to 300.50, while its selling rate saw a minor decrease from 302.79 to 302.55. The GBP buying rate increased marginally from 356.89 to 356.94, with the selling rate dropping from 359.37 to 359.25.

The Japanese Yen and Arab Emirates Dirham also exhibited slight changes. The buying rate for the JPY increased from 1.81 to 1.83, and its selling rate from 1.85 to 1.87. The AED buying rate went up from 75.77 to 75.84, while the selling rate remained constant at 76.35. The Saudi Riyal saw an increase in the buying rate from 74.01 to 74.11, with the selling rate remaining unchanged.
