Exchange Rates Fluctuate as GBP and EURO Show Decline.

Karachi: The exchange rates for several major currencies saw fluctuations on November 12, 2024, with notable changes observed in the buying and selling rates of the British Pound (GBP) and the Euro (EURO). The data released indicates a decrease in the value of these currencies compared to the previous day.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the buying rate for the USD on November 11 was recorded at 276.95, with a selling rate of 278.77. On November 12, the buying rate slightly decreased to 276.94, whereas the selling rate increased to 278.83. The EURO saw a notable decline from a buying rate of 294.55 to 293.50 and a selling rate from 297.45 to 296.26.

The GBP also experienced a downward trend, with the buying rate dropping from 355.56 to 353.86, and the selling rate decreasing from 358.94 to 357.25. Meanwhile, the Japanese Yen (JPY) saw a slight increase in its selling rate from 1.83 to 1.84, while maintaining the same buying rate of 1.78.

The rates for the United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED) and the Saudi Riyal (SR) remained relatively stable. The buying rate for AED was recorded at 75.27, with a selling rate of 75.97, while the SR saw a buying rate of 73.52 and a selling rate of 74.16. The interbank rates also showed minor fluctuations, with the buying rate adjusting from 277.86 to 277.93 and the selling rate from 278.06 to 278.13.
