Exchange Rates Fluctuate Slightly in Pakistan’s Currency Market

Karachi, The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan reported minor fluctuations in the foreign exchange rates for key currencies including the US Dollar, Euro, and British Pound over the past two days. The interbank rate for the US Dollar saw a slight adjustment, with the buying and selling rates experiencing small changes.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the US Dollar's buying rate was slightly lower today, recorded at 277.07 compared to 277.16 on April 16, while the selling rate decreased from 279.68 to 279.57. Similar modest changes were noted across other major currencies. The Euro decreased from a buying rate of 293.07 to 292.42 and a selling rate of 295.87 to 295.15. The British Pound also saw a slight drop from a buying rate of 343.96 to 342.41 and a selling rate of 347.24 to 345.77.

The Japanese Yen and Arab Emirates Dirham, along with the Saudi Riyal, showed minimal adjustments in their rates. The interbank rate for the US Dollar remained relatively stable, moving from 278.29 buying and 278.49 selling on April 16 to 278.40 buying and 278.60 selling today.

The reported exchange rates reflect the ongoing trends in the global currency market, influenced by various economic factors. These rates are critical for international trade, remittance flows, and the overall economic landscape in Pakistan.
