Exchange Rates Show Slight Fluctuations Over Two-Day Span in Pakistan

Karachi, The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan released the foreign exchange rates for the past two days, showing minor adjustments in several major currencies.

On 18th October 2023, the buying rate for the US Dollar (USD) was 278.00, which slightly decreased to 277.00 on the 19th. Similarly, the selling rate for the USD went from 281.00 to 280.00. The Euro remained stable with a buying rate of 293.00 and a selling rate of 296.00 on both days.

The British Pound (GBP) showed a decline, with its buying rate moving from 342.50 on the 18th to 340.50 on the 19th, and the selling rate shifted from 346.00 to 344.00. The Japanese Yen (JPY) remained consistent at a buying rate of 1.83 and a selling rate of 1.88.

For the UAE Dirham (AED), there was a slight increase in the buying rate from 76.00 on the 18th to 77.00 on the 19th, while the selling rate went up from 76.75 to 77.75. The Saudi Riyal (SR) saw a minimal drop with the buying rate adjusting from 74.70 to 74.50 and the selling rate from 75.50 to 75.20.

Lastly, the Interbank rates also noted minor changes, with the buying rate going down from 280.30 on the 18th to 278.80 on the 19th and the selling rate dropping from 280.50 to 279.00.
