Faisalabad Electricity Consumers to Receive Subsidized Rates in August and September

Faisalabad: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) and the Punjab government, introducing a subsidy of Rs.14 per unit on electricity for consumers using between 201 to 500 units. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on residents during August and September.

According to Faisalabad Electric Supply Company, this agreement will affect approximately 771,000 consumers who were previously billed for August. The adjusted bills are now being reissued with the new subsidized rates, and the payment deadline has been extended by an additional seven days to facilitate easier compliance. FESCO is also applying similar reliefs to subsequent batches of consumers to ensure widespread benefit. Chief Executive Officer of FESCO, Engr. Muhammad Amir, emphasized that providing relief to consumers is a top priority for both the government and the utility company.
