Fauji Fertilizer Company Reports Increased Earnings Amid Strong Urea Sales

Karachi: Fauji Fertilizer Company Ltd. (FFC) presented its financial performance for the first nine months of the year 2026 during a corporate briefing session, highlighting a significant rise in standalone earnings to PkR64.2 billion. This marks an 11% increase from the same period last year, where earnings stood at PkR57.6 billion. The growth was attributed to increased urea sales and pricing alongside a rise in other income.

According to AKD Securities Limited, FFC's urea sales saw a year-on-year improvement of 10% in the first nine months, reaching 2.2 million tons. This performance outpaced the industry's growth rate of 5%, leading to an increase in market share from 47% to 49% compared to the same period last year. AKD Securities also maintains a 'BUY' recommendation for FFC, projecting a target price of PkR801 per share by December 2026. The positive outlook is based on several factors, including lower gas costs, improved farm economics bolstering nutrient offtakes, and recurring dividend income from FFC's power and banking subsidiaries. Additionally, FFC is expected to benefit from better performance in its food business due to higher market penetration and cost efficiencies.
