Islamabad, The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced an extension for the payment and submission deadlines of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Duty (FED) returns for the tax period of May 2024. The new payment deadline is now set for June 20, 2024, and the submission deadline has been moved to June 24, 2024.
According to Zameen.Com, the FBR issued instructions to its field formations on Saturday, detailing the new deadlines. The adjustments are made to accommodate the schedule disruptions caused by the Eid-ul-Adha holidays. Originally, the deadlines were June 15 for payments and June 18 for submissions.
