Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has successfully surpassed its revenue target for July 2024, collecting PKR 659.2 billion against a projected PKR 656 billion, and has already processed PKR 77.9 billion in refunds.
According to Zameen.Com, the achievement marks a promising start for the FBR’s fiscal year, setting a pace toward its substantial goal of PKR 12.97 trillion for 2024-25. In a recent briefing, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb highlighted the pivotal role of digitization in boosting revenue operations. The minister commended the efforts of former Chairman Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana and showed strong confidence in the new Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial’s capability to sustain this momentum and meet the ambitious fiscal targets set for the year.
