Fluctuations in Foreign Currency Exchange Rates Reported by Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan

Karachi, The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan has noted minor fluctuations in the buying and selling rates of major currencies over two consecutive days. The changes were observed for currencies including the US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Japanese Yen, UAE Dirham, and Saudi Riyal, with variations largely remaining under a point.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, on April 18, 2024, the rates for buying and selling US Dollars were recorded at 277.20 and 279.66 respectively. Similarly, the Euro was bought at 293.56 and sold at 296.25, while the British Pound rates were 343.24 for buying and 346.49 for selling. The Japanese Yen, UAE Dirham, and Saudi Riyal also showed slight differences in their trading values.

On the following day, the rates for the US Dollar adjusted slightly to 277.11 for buying and 279.68 for selling. The Euro was purchased at 292.74 and sold at 295.60, and the British Pound saw a slight decrease to 342.16 for buying and 345.38 for selling. Other currencies like the Japanese Yen, UAE Dirham, and Saudi Riyal maintained similar small adjustments in their rates.

These subtle shifts in currency values reflect the ongoing adjustments within the interbank rates, which also showed a slight decrease from 278.44 to 278.31. This continuous monitoring of foreign exchange rates by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan helps in providing transparency and stability in the financial market.
