Islamabad: foodpanda, Pakistan's leading delivery and quick-commerce platform, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with House of Habib, a prominent industrial conglomerate in the country. This strategic partnership aims to provide House of Habib's approximately 2,400 employees with dining discounts and exclusive perks through foodpanda's 'Business Premium Deals', all at no cost to the enterprise.
According to Foodpanda, the demand for food as a workplace perk is significant, with 67 percent of employees prioritizing meal benefits and 44 percent noting that shared meals enhance team relationships. Despite this demand, many human resources departments face challenges such as limited subsidy budgets and administrative hurdles, which impede the implementation of traditional corporate cafeteria programs.
The 'Business Premium Deals' offered by foodpanda addresses these challenges by providing a digital solution that incurs no company expenditure or HR burden. The activation process involves registration, corporate email verification, and profile switching, allowing employees to access discounts of up to 25 percent at over 1,000 partner restaurants, along with other promotional offers on the foodpanda app. Employees can potentially save over PKR 36,000 annually based on average usage.
Arsalan Mahmood, Director Finance at foodpanda Pakistan, emphasized the value of the partnership, stating that it exemplifies how platform technology can enhance corporate wellness by removing financial subsidies and approval cycles, thus enabling enterprises to reward employees effortlessly.
The agreement signifies foodpanda's expansion into B2B digital solutions, assisting organizations in Pakistan to leverage quick-commerce infrastructure to boost employee satisfaction and retention.
