Islamabad: Foodpanda, Pakistan’s premier online delivery platform, has announced a new strategic partnership with Visa to enhance the adoption of online payments within the country, promising significant discounts to users across food and grocery deliveries.
According to Foodpanda, the collaboration aims to integrate Visa’s payment solutions into foodpanda’s service framework, allowing users to enjoy up to 30% discounts on weekdays and 40% on weekends with special promotional codes. New customers can also avail a PKR 300 discount on their first order using the code VISA300. Muntaqa Peracha, CEO of foodpanda, emphasized the partnership’s role in driving mutual growth and providing exceptional value and convenience to users nationwide.
Umar Khan, Visa’s Country Manager for Pakistan and Afghanistan, highlighted the strategic alignment of this partnership with Visa’s commitment to promoting digital transactions in a market where 95% of e-commerce payments are still conducted via cash-on-delivery. “This partnership with foodpanda, one of Pakistan’s most popular online delivery platforms, offers our cardholders more value and convenience, supporting Pakistan’s journey towards a cashless economy,” said Khan.
The campaign will be extensively promoted through foodpanda’s platforms and associated banks within Visa’s network, ensuring wide visibility and accessibility for customers. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance financial inclusion and streamline the online purchasing experience in Pakistan.
