Islamabad: foodpanda Pakistan, a leading online food and grocery delivery platform, has announced the distribution of 6,000 smog protection kits to its delivery riders as part of a new initiative to safeguard their health and safety during the winter season. The company is also providing winter essentials such as jackets and bike mittens to help riders cope with the cold weather as air quality deteriorates across the country.
According to foodpanda, each smog protection kit contains essential items designed to mitigate the risks of air pollution exposure, including a branded KN95 mask, lozenges, Panadol, Softin, FML NEO eye drops, and Xynosine nasal spray. This initiative aims to minimize health risks associated with prolonged exposure to smog and polluted air encountered during deliveries.
"Our heroes' health and safety are our top priorities, especially in the current environment," stated Farhan Khan, Director Operations of foodpanda Pakistan. The company recognizes the dedication of its riders in ensuring timely deliveries and emphasizes its responsibility to protect them by providing necessary health and safety measures during the challenging smog season.
In addition to the distribution of protective gear, foodpanda has collaborated with healthcare professionals to conduct awareness sessions for its riders. These sessions aim to educate riders on preventive care, effective usage of the provided items, and recognizing symptoms related to smog exposure.
This initiative is part of foodpanda's broader commitment to enhancing rider welfare and establishing a healthier work environment. By setting higher industry standards, the company continues to demonstrate its dedication to quality and service within Pakistan's digital landscape.
