Lahore: foodpanda Pakistan has launched its first flagship Rider Rest Station at Gold Crest Mall in Lahore, marking a significant milestone for the online delivery platform. The facility is designed to provide delivery partners with a space to rest and recharge amidst their demanding schedules.
According to foodpanda, the initiative aims to offer delivery riders a comfortable environment where they can take a break from the rigors of their job, which often involves dealing with extreme weather conditions and busy schedules. The rest station is equipped with air conditioning, dedicated seating areas, hydration facilities, and high-speed charging stations to support the riders' needs.
Muntaqa Peracha, CEO of foodpanda Pakistan, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting its delivery fleet by offering spaces that prioritize their comfort and care. Similarly, Hasaan Pardesi, CEO of Gold Crest Mall, highlighted the importance of collaboration between industry leaders to create social impact.
Foodpanda is planning to expand this initiative across major urban centers in Pakistan by seeking partnerships with corporate organizations, commercial property owners, and municipal bodies. The goal is to establish a network of Rider Rest Stations nationwide, ensuring accessible facilities for delivery riders across the country.
