Karachi: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has dismissed allegations of involvement in visa selling and human trafficking, following a report published by Urdu Daily Jang on July 21, 2026. The Secretary General of FPCCI has strongly rejected the claims, stating that the accusations are designed to damage the organization's reputation.

According to Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), the report is unfounded and baseless. The Secretary General emphasized that the FPCCI conducts its operations with integrity, transparency, and adherence to legal standards, denying any connection to the alleged visa scandal or illicit activities. The FPCCI also stated that no visas were requested or issued on behalf of the women's trade delegation in question, and highlighted its strict protocols for processing international trade delegations.

The FPCCI has called on the media to verify information before publishing such reports and has reserved the right to pursue legal action under the PECA Act against the publication of defamatory content. The organization also clarified its independence from other trade entities, noting the autonomy of over 300 trade organizations and 31 women's chambers licensed by the Directorate General of Trade Organizations.

The FPCCI demands a retraction and correction of the report, asserting its dissociation from the claims. The Secretary General noted the absence of any government inquiry or internal investigation into the alleged scandal and denied any contact from the newspaper for clarification.
