Gaddafi Stadium to Receive PKR 7.7 Billion Renovation Ahead of 2025 ICC Champions Trophy

Lahore: In anticipation of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a comprehensive renovation plan for Gaddafi Stadium, investing PKR 7.7 billion to enhance facilities and infrastructure. This upgrade is part of a larger initiative spanning several major cities, with a total expenditure of PKR 12.8 billion aimed at preparing Pakistan’s cricket venues for the international event.

According to Zameen.Com, the renovation will introduce a series of significant improvements to Gaddafi Stadium, including the construction of a new pavilion, an increase in seating capacity, the installation of modern LED screens, and the enhancement of floodlight systems. These developments are designed to meet international standards and improve the spectator experience.

Additionally, Karachi’s National Bank Stadium and Rawalpindi’s Pindi Stadium are also set to undergo substantial upgrades. Karachi will see an allocation of PKR 3.5 billion for similar enhancements, whereas Rawalpindi will focus on optimizing seating and lighting with an investment of PKR 1.5 billion. This nationwide upgrade underscores Pakistan’s dedication to hosting a successful ICC Champions Trophy and bolstering its reputation as a premier host of international cricket events.
