KARACHI: The government has announced the formation of Export Facilitation Committees aimed at addressing exporters' concerns, resolving disputes, and preventing harassment by tax officials. The initiative, announced by Bilal Azhar Kayani, Minister of State for Finance and Railways, seeks to improve export performance and promote export-oriented industrial growth.
According to Union of Small and Medium Enterprises, the announcement was made during a consultative meeting with the All Pakistan Exporters Associations in Karachi. Minister Kayani briefed the exporters on the tax relief measures introduced in the recent budget and discussed potential strategies to address their ongoing concerns.
The minister emphasized the government's dedication to supporting export-oriented industries through continuous policy support and open communication. "The purpose of the committees is to facilitate exports, help resolve matters raised by exporters, provide an effective mechanism for the amicable resolution of disputes, and ensure that exporters are not subjected to harassment by tax officials," Kayani stated.
