Government Establishes Export Facilitation Committees to Address Exporters’ Concerns

KARACHI: The government has announced the formation of Export Facilitation Committees to address exporters' concerns, resolve disputes, and prevent harassment by tax officials, Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani stated during a meeting with the All Pakistan Exporters Associations in Karachi.

According to Union of Small and Medium Enterprises, the announcement was made during a consultative meeting where Kayani also briefed exporters on tax relief measures introduced in the recent budget. The minister discussed possible steps to address the concerns of exporters, emphasizing the government's commitment to supporting export-oriented industrial growth.

"The purpose of the committees is to facilitate exports, help resolve matters raised by exporters, provide an effective mechanism for the amicable resolution of disputes, and ensure that exporters are not subjected to harassment by tax officials," Kayani explained. The minister assured industry stakeholders of continuous policy support and open communication channels to further enhance export performance.
