Lahore: Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has been honored with three prestigious awards at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2024, including 'Best Bank in Pakistan,' 'Best Bank for Corporates,' and 'Best Bank for ESG.'

According to Habib Bank Limited, the Euromoney Awards for Excellence are globally recognized as a benchmark for excellence in the banking industry. The awards highlight HBL's leadership, performance, and innovative approach in the banking sector. The citation from Euromoney noted that HBL recorded a pre-tax profit of $403 million in 2023, marking a 47% increase from the previous year. This financial achievement reflects the bank's successful strategy of integrating its vast physical network with advanced digital capabilities to serve its 37 million customers effectively.

Further, the citation praised HBL for enhancing its internal environmental, social, and governance structures, which include updates to its management policies and the development of a sustainable environmental management operating procedure. Muhammad Nassir Salim, President and CEO of HBL, responded to the recognition by stating that these awards are a testament to the bank’s commitment to excellence and innovation, as well as a tribute to the trust and confidence placed in HBL by its millions of clients.
