HBL Tekken 8 Women’s Gaming Tournament Crowns New Champions in Lahore

Lahore, In a groundbreaking event for women in Esports, the first-ever Tekken 8 Women’s Gaming Tournament concluded successfully in Lahore, with three gamers emerging victorious after a series of intense battles. Organized by Konnect by HBL, the event featured over 200 participants and highlighted the growing role of women in the gaming community.

According to Habib Bank Limited, the tournament was part of HBL’s initiative to provide equal opportunities and encourage the inclusion of women in the rapidly expanding Esports industry in Pakistan. The event not only aimed to empower women gamers but also to connect with the country’s youthful demographic and foster a more inclusive Esports environment.

The competition culminated with Ambreen Riaz winning the first prize of PKR 250,000 and the championship title. Laiba Adnan and Hina Malik secured the second and third places, winning PKR 150,000 and PKR 100,000 respectively. Their remarkable skill and quick reflexes earned them accolades from both the audience and their peers.

Ali Habib, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at HBL, praised the participants' skills and sportsmanship. He emphasized the bank’s commitment to further integrating Esports into its community engagement initiatives, stating that HBL plans to continue supporting and expanding its involvement in Esports to promote more such events.
