Karachi: Hub Power Company Limited has released its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, reporting a consolidated net profit after tax of PkR10.8 billion, equivalent to earnings per share of PkR8.33. This represents a 2% decline compared to the same period last year, though it marks a 2% increase from the previous quarter. The results fell slightly below analyst estimates, primarily due to higher effective taxation.
According to AKD Securities Limited, the company declared a quarterly cash dividend of PkR5.0 per share. This brings the cumulative dividend for the first nine months of FY26 to PkR15.0 per share, a threefold increase from PkR5.0 per share in the same period of FY25. Consolidated revenue for the quarter was PkR16.5 billion, reflecting a 4% year-on-year decrease and a 2% decrease quarter-on-quarter. The gross margins compressed to 40%, down from 41% in the same period last year and 44% in the second quarter of FY26, mainly due to increased reliance on RFO dispatch and reduced capacity utilization across the generation fleet.
