Karachi: Interloop Limited (ILP) and National Foods Ltd (NATF) are poised to release their first-quarter fiscal year 2027 earnings, with analysts anticipating differing outcomes for the two companies. Interloop Limited is expected to report a notable growth in its earnings per share (EPS), while National Foods Ltd is likely to experience a decline.
According to JS Global, Interloop Limited is scheduled to announce its earnings results today, with expectations of an EPS of Rs2.38, marking a 19% year-over-year increase. The growth is primarily driven by robust revenue from the company's Apparels and Denim segments. However, a decrease in hosiery exports and the appreciation of the Pakistani Rupee are anticipated to temper overall growth. Notably, this quarter marks the first for ILP without the imposition of a super tax.
In contrast, National Foods Ltd is projected to see a 20% year-over-year decrease in its standalone EPS, anticipated to fall to Rs3.59, with a consolidated EPS of Rs3.80. The company's board of directors is set to meet on October 26, 2026, to approve the results. An interim dividend per share (DPS) announcement of Rs3.00 is also expected. The decline in NATF's earnings is attributed to reduced exports and rising freight and energy costs, which are expected to be gradually passed on to consumers.
