Faisalabad: Interloop Ltd. (ILP) announced a significant increase in its profitability for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, with profits reaching PkR4.3 billion, equivalent to an earnings per share (EPS) of PkR3.1. This represents a 53% increase compared to PkR2.8 billion (EPS: PkR2.0) reported during the same period last year. The surge in profitability is attributed to higher export volumes, additional income, and reduced tax liabilities.
According to AKD Securities Limited, Interloop Ltd.'s revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 stood at PkR49.7 billion (US$179 million), marking a 14% rise from PkR43.8 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year. The company cited increased export volumes, bolstered by capacity expansion and improved utilization in its hosiery, denim, and apparel segments, as key contributors to this growth. Despite the revenue increase, gross margins slightly declined to 22.8% from 23.3% in the same period last year, primarily due to a decrease in prices in the non-yarn segment and the appreciation of the rupee.
