Karachi: At the "My Karachi" exhibition held at the Expo Center, a unique collection of rare tickets by Arif Balgamwala, a celebrated businessman and philatelist, has drawn significant praise from international diplomats. The collection, which includes historically significant tickets and currency notes, is part of an event organized by the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the exhibition has attracted the Consuls General of Qatar, Oman, Turkey, and Bangladesh, who expressed their admiration for Balgamwala’s compilation. Noteworthy are tickets from his collection that chronicle key moments like the awards given to the Pakistan Army in the 1965 war, and those raising awareness about health issues such as polio and cancer.

Balgamwala shared that this marks the first occasion such items have been publicly displayed in Pakistan, offering attendees a rare glimpse into the nation's historical and cultural narrative through philately. The exhibition also showcases Pakistani currency notes with printing errors, further enriching the educational aspect of this display.
