Karachi: International Packaging Films Limited, one of Pakistan's leading manufacturers of flexible packaging films, has announced plans to expand into Europe by establishing a wholly owned subsidiary in Portugal. According to International Packaging Films Limited, the new subsidiary will be incorporated by IPAK Connect Packaging Materials Trading FZCO, the Group's wholly owned subsidiary based in Dubai. Once incorporated, the Portuguese entity will be integrated into the IPAK Group, serving as the commercial platform for their operations within the European Union.
This expansion is a significant step in IPAK Group's strategy for international growth, enhancing its presence within the European Union and facilitating closer connections with existing and potential customers in the region. The new subsidiary will act as a hub for the Group's European activities, supporting collaboration with customers, converters, distributors, and other industry partners.
The establishment of the Portuguese entity will enable the Group to coordinate commercial activities more rapidly and engage more directly in product development, order planning, and after-sales support. The local presence will enhance the Group's market intelligence, allowing for a deeper understanding of packaging technologies, sustainability requirements, regulatory changes, and customer preferences in Europe.
The creation of the Portuguese subsidiary aligns with IPAK Group's broader goal of building a globally connected packaging films business, leveraging strong manufacturing capabilities in Pakistan and expanding commercial reach in important overseas markets. The initiative is contingent upon obtaining all necessary legal, regulatory, and corporate approvals.
