Karachi: Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, has furthered its partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing digital literacy, financial inclusion, and economic empowerment across Pakistan. This strengthened collaboration seeks to bridge the digital divide and accelerate sustainable economic growth by leveraging technology-driven solutions.

According to Jazz Pakistan, “The MoU, signed by Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, and Dr. Samuel Rizk, Resident Representative of UNDP, will amplify our ongoing initiatives to equip youth, women, and entrepreneurs from underserved communities with the necessary skills to participate effectively in the digital economy.” The partnership will focus on advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly promoting diversity and inclusion within technology and STEM fields, and engaging the private sector in global sustainability efforts.

CEO Aamir Ibrahim highlighted the strategic alignment of this partnership with Jazz’s mission to improve lives through technology. “By combining our technological strengths with UNDP’s expertise in sustainable development, we are not only closing the digital gap but are also empowering marginalized communities with the skills needed to succeed in a digital future. This initiative is about creating real economic opportunities for youth, women, and entrepreneurs in Pakistan,” said Ibrahim.

With this MoU, Jazz and UNDP are set to introduce innovative solutions and impactful initiatives that support the growth of Pakistan’s digital economy and foster an inclusive society where technology serves as a backbone for development.
