Islamabad: Pakistan's largest data hackathon, the Jazz Digital Squad, concluded its grand finale in Islamabad, marking the end of a nationwide initiative aimed at enhancing digital skills among university students. Organized by Jazz, the country’s leading digital operator, the event showcased innovative projects using Tableau to visualize key data insights, reinforcing Jazz’s commitment to fostering a digital-skilled workforce.
According to Jazz Pakistan, the event drew participation from over 500 teams and more than 1,400 students, including a notable 32% female participants. Teams engaged in creating dashboards and analyses, which were evaluated by Jazz experts on various criteria including presentation, functionality, and data storytelling. The top five teams, including representatives from IBA, LUMS, FAST NUCES, and NUST, competed in the finale, with The Data Aficionados from NUST winning the top prize. These participants not only vied for cash prizes but also the chance to engage in real-time projects through Jazz’s internship programs.
