JazzCash and Mobilink Microfinance Bank Initiate BISP Disbursements in Sindh and Punjab

Karachi: JazzCash, in partnership with Mobilink Microfinance Bank, has begun the initial disbursement of funds under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) across multiple locations in Hyderabad, Matiari, and Rahim Yar Khan. The initiative aims to distribute over PKR 1 billion to 1.3 million registered women beneficiaries, fostering financial inclusion and empowerment.

According to Jazz Pakistan, the collaboration involves an extensive network of agents operating special camps to ensure responsible and dignified fund distribution. These camps also serve as venues for enhancing financial literacy among women, equipping them with the knowledge to manage their finances effectively. Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of BISP, stressed the importance of such initiatives for uplifting marginalized communities and ensuring that financial aid reaches those in dire need.

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz and Chairman of Mobilink Microfinance Bank, expressed pride in supporting BISP’s mission to alleviate poverty. He highlighted JazzCash’s role in providing accessible financial services to underserved populations, thereby narrowing the financial inclusion gap in Pakistan. The initiative also includes a dedicated complaint management cell to assist beneficiaries in regional languages and special provisions to aid people with disabilities and elderly women with debit cards for easier fund access.

The disbursement initiative covers extensive regions including districts in Sindh such as Sanghar, Nawabshah, and Mirpurkhas, as well as areas in Punjab, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aiming to ensure timely financial support across the country.
