Karachi: In a gesture of solidarity and support, JS Bank, in collaboration with the Association of Physically Disabled Adults (APHA), commemorated Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day by donating electronic wheelchairs to differently-abled individuals, enabling them to lead more independent lives.

According to JS Bank Limited, “The initiative is part of the bank’s ongoing commitment to social causes, highlighting its dedication to empowering underserved communities.” The event, held on 14th August, was attended by notable figures including Kazim Raza, Head of Distribution and Branch Banking at JS Bank; Jamil Memon, Head of CSR and Administration; and Sohail Jawad, Executive Director of the State Bank of Pakistan.

APHA, celebrating 50 years of service, is a leading organization committed to the welfare and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. Its services include a rehabilitation and physiotherapy center that offers artificial limbs, vocational training, customized vehicles for PWD livelihood support, and a specialized school. The event not only marked a significant donation but also underscored the enduring partnership between JS Bank and APHA in advocating for and supporting the differently-abled community.

JS Bank has established itself as a proactive entity in addressing the needs of differently-abled persons through various initiatives aimed at integrating them into mainstream society and providing them with necessary resources for a dignified life.
