Karachi, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT): View from the desk

KSE 100 Index kept the new year euphoria intact and managed to close at 45,391, gaining 504 points. Major volume contributors today were TRG (+4.3%), WTL (+4.8%), TELE (+6.8%), FNEL (+3.7%) and PRL (+7.0%). News regarding refineries getting substantial orders for the next few months kept the refinery sector in limelight. Major positive contributors to the index points today were TRG, SYS, HUBC, UNITY and LUCK. Going forward, positive news from the IMF front will provide more stability to the market. We recommend investors to avail any dips to accumulate Technology, Oil and Gas Exploration, Banking and Cyclical Sector stocks.
