Karachi, August 17, 2021 (PPI-OT): View from the desk

The benchmark index gained 346 points today as it closed at 47,258 level. TPLP (7.5%), GGL (2.9%), TRG (0.7%), WTL (1.2%), TELE (1.5%) and UNITY (1.7%) were the largest contributors to the total traded volume of 246mn shares. KAPCO announced its full year results where it reported earnings of Rs11.62 per share along with a cash payout of Rs3.5 per share. Investors are advised to buy on dips across the board keeping a medium term outlook in mind.
