Karachi: Jubilee Life Insurance, Pakistan's largest private sector life insurance company, recently hosted an event titled "Lights. Camera. Inclusion" to celebrate the contributions of parents and caregivers of persons with disabilities (PWDs). The initiative, held in collaboration with Karachi Vocational Training Centre (KVTC) and Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP), aimed to honor the resilience and support these caregivers provide, which often remains unrecognized.
According to Jubilee Life Insurance, the event, which coincided with Mother's Day and Father's Day, was more than just a gathering. It brought together PWDs, their families, and representatives from partner organizations such as ConnectHear and NOWPDP. The inclusive movie experience created a space for families to share meaningful moments and fostered a sense of belonging, underscoring that inclusion is nurtured through human connection and understanding.
Javed Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO of Jubilee Life Insurance, emphasized the significance of the initiative, stating, "Behind every person who overcomes barriers is often a parent or caregiver whose love and determination have never wavered." Farukh Iftekhar, Group Head HRMD at Jubilee Life Insurance, added that "Lights. Camera. Inclusion" sought to recognize the everyday acts of strength that quietly shape lives and open doors to opportunity.
The initiative is part of Jubilee Life's broader Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda and aligns with the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance commitments. Through partnerships with organizations dedicated to advancing inclusion and accessibility, Jubilee Life continues to champion opportunities for PWDs and their families to thrive.
