Karachi: In a significant enhancement to its customer service offerings, K-Electric (KE) introduced the KE Star Rewards program on October 01, 2024, designed to acknowledge and reward customers for on-time bill payments. This initiative is the first of its kind in Pakistan’s power sector, aiming to foster stronger connections between the utility provider and its customers while providing economic relief.
According to K-Electric announcement issued on 01 Oct 2024, the KE Star Rewards program offers a variety of discounts to “Star Customers” who consistently make timely and full payments. The program spans multiple categories including lifestyle, healthcare, food, and entertainment, reflecting a broad-based approach to rewarding consumer loyalty. The discounts are accessible through the KE Live App, with most offers renewable monthly, encouraging ongoing customer engagement.
Ovais Munshi, spokesperson for K-Electric, commented on the launch, emphasizing the program’s role in promoting a culture of regular and timely bill payments. He noted that while the power sector is heavily regulated and rates are fixed, initiatives like KE Star Rewards enable the company to provide additional value to customers, potentially setting a benchmark for other utility providers.
The launch of KE Star Rewards is part of K-Electric’s broader strategy to leverage technology and digital tools to enhance customer interactions and service delivery, with a significant portion of their investment earmarked for further technological advancements.
