Karachi: In a significant change aimed at enhancing service to the local business and industrial community, the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has announced that it will keep all its departments open for the full day every Friday, moving away from its previous half-day schedule.

According to Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this new arrangement allows KCCI members to utilize various facilities throughout the entire day on Fridays. All departments, except the Attestation Department, will operate from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The lunch break on Monday to Thursday and Saturday will be from 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM, while on Friday, it will extend from 12:45 PM to 2:30 PM to accommodate Friday prayers.

The Attestation Department, which provides crucial services such as document verification, will operate from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM throughout the week. It will maintain a 30-minute lunch break from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM daily, aligning with the extended lunch break timings on Friday observed by other departments.

The decision to extend operating hours on Fridays follows numerous requests from KCCI members, who emphasized the need for uninterrupted access to services including visa recommendation letters, attestation services, and other membership and secretariat-related activities.
