Karachi Interbank Offered Rate Sees Fluctuations Across Tenors

Karachi: Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) witnessed varied movements across different maturities on August 21, 2025, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Short-term rates, including the one-week and two-week tenors, saw a rise. The one-week rate closed with bids at 10.85% and offers at 11.35%, while the two-week rate settled at 10.83% bid and 11.33% offer.

The one-month KIBOR saw a decrease, closing at 10.78% bid and 11.28% offer. Longer-term rates exhibited a mixed trend. The three-month and six-month maturities held steady at 10.79% bid and 11.04% offer.

Meanwhile, the nine-month and one-year KIBOR rates converged, both recording bids at 10.76% and offers at 11.26%. These rate adjustments reflect the current dynamics within Pakistan's money market.
