KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) indices experienced modest gains as trading concluded, with the KSE100 index rising by 0.15% to close at 171,402.08 points. The KSE30 index also saw a slight increase, closing at 50,998.57 points with a 0.19% gain. The overall market capitalization in rupees stood at Rs 19,093.98 billion, marking a 0.28% day-over-day change.

According to JS Global, the day's top gainers included AHCL, which saw a 4.57% increase in its stock price, SEARL with a 3.16% rise, and PAKT, which went up by 3.09%. Among the top losers were PGLC, YOUW, and IBFL, which experienced declines of 2.87%, 2.86%, and 2.42%, respectively. The total trading volume for the day was 641.83 million shares, with a total value of Rs 18.47 billion or approximately $66.61 million.

In regional markets, the performance was mixed. While China's SSE Composite Index rose by 0.1%, indices in India and Indonesia declined by 0.4% and 1.7%, respectively. Meanwhile, Korea's KOSPI saw a significant year-to-date increase of 66.5%. As the trading landscape remains volatile, market participants continue to monitor global economic indicators and regional developments.
