Karachi: The Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) has expressed approval for the expansion of the U-turn at Qayumabad in Korangi, a decision made by Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). The move is anticipated to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance commercial and economic activities in the Korangi Industrial Area.
According to Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, KATI President Muhammad Ikram Rajput and Acting Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya highlighted the persistent traffic issues in the area, particularly for vehicles heading towards the Shaheed Bhutto Expressway. The authorities responded to KATI's request by initiating the U-turn expansion project, which has already improved traffic flow and reduced congestion.
The KATI representatives extended their congratulations to the Karachi Mayor and KMC officials for addressing the concerns of both the business community and the general public. They emphasized the importance of such infrastructure projects in facilitating traffic movement and boosting economic activities in the industrial area. The leadership expressed optimism that ongoing collaboration would continue to address other civic and infrastructure challenges in the city.
