Karachi, In a recent appeal to the Sindh government, the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) has urged the administration to prioritize the development of industrial zones by allocating significant portions of the budget to these areas. KATI President Johar Qandhari highlighted the necessity of such investments during a session congratulating the province's newly elected cabinet ministers.

According to Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, President Qandhari met with key cabinet members, including Saeed Ghani, Nasir Hussain Shah, Sharjeel Inam Memon, and Jam Khan Shoro, to discuss the progress and challenges within Karachi's industrial sectors. The KATI President expressed optimism about the new cabinet's potential to surpass its predecessors in enhancing the industrial landscape and bolstering economic growth.

The discussions also addressed emerging concerns over novel extortion methods targeting industrialists. President Qandhari emphasized the need for the provincial interior minister, Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, to implement effective strategies and safeguards that would bolster investor confidence and ensure the safety of business assets.

Highlighting KATI's role in fostering government-industry collaboration, Qandhari pointed to the tangible improvements in the Korangi industrial area's infrastructure, attributing these successes to judicious fund allocation.
