Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has witnessed a significant 41% increase in revenue collection for the first quarter of the fiscal year, marking a robust start in its financial performance.

According to Zameen.Com, the KP Revenue Authority successfully collected PKR 10.82 billion during this period, a substantial rise from the PKR 7.69 billion amassed during the corresponding quarter last year. This increase notably outpaces the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) growth, which reported a 25% rise in the same timeframe.

The finance advisor also indicated a keen interest in comparing KP’s fiscal achievements with those of other provinces like Punjab and Sindh, underscoring the importance of evaluating regional fiscal performance as a benchmark for broader economic assessments.

This surge in revenue is attributed to the province’s effective implementation of tax policies and strategic fiscal measures aimed at strengthening the regional economy and enhancing the capability to fund various public services.
