KIBOR Rates Experience Slight Increase Across Most Tenors

Karachi: The Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) has seen a slight increase across most tenors, with the one-year rate reaching 12.36 percent. The changes reflect shifts in the borrowing climate within the banking sector, affecting both short-term and long-term lending rates.

According to State Bank of Pakistan, the KIBOR rates, effective from September 23, 2026, show that the one-week tenor is now recorded at a bid of 11.38 percent and an offer of 11.88 percent. The two-week tenor stands at 11.40 percent for bids and 11.90 percent for offers. The one-month rate is set at a bid of 11.46 percent and an offer of 11.96 percent.

The three-month tenor has a bid rate of 11.50 percent and an offer of 11.75 percent, while the six-month tenor's bid is at 11.71 percent with an offer of 11.96 percent. The nine-month tenor rates are at a bid of 11.81 percent and an offer of 12.31 percent.

The adjustments in these rates are indicative of broader economic conditions and are critical for financial institutions, borrowers, and investors in making informed decisions regarding loans and investments.
