KIBOR Rates Indicate Slight Increase Across All Tenors

Karachi: The Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) has shown a marginal increase across all tenor categories, reflecting changes in the borrowing costs for financial institutions. The latest figures, released on August 25, 2026, demonstrate a continuous upward trend in both bid and offer rates for tenors ranging from one week to one year.

According to State Bank of Pakistan, the bid rate for a one-week tenor is now at 11.36, with the offer rate at 11.86. For a two-week tenor, the bid rate has increased to 11.38, while the offer rate is at 11.88. The one-month tenor shows a bid rate of 11.41 and an offer rate of 11.91.

The three-month tenor has recorded a bid rate of 11.48 and an offer rate of 11.73. The six-month tenor bid rate stands at 11.56, with the offer rate reaching 11.81. For a nine-month tenor, the bid and offer rates are 11.64 and 12.14, respectively. The one-year tenor has a bid rate of 11.65 and an offer rate of 12.15.

These adjustments in the KIBOR are critical indicators for banks and financial institutions, influencing lending rates and, consequently, the broader economic environment.
