KIBOR Rates Remain Steady as Financial Markets Observe Trends

Karachi: The Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) exhibited steadiness in its latest update, reflecting ongoing trends in the financial markets. The rates, which serve as a benchmark for lending between banks, showed slight variations across different tenors, with the 1-week bid at 11.36 percent and the 1-year offer peaking at 12.10 percent.

According to State Bank of Pakistan: The detailed figures released on July 31, 2026, indicate that the 2-week bid and offer rates stood at 11.38 percent and 11.88 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the 1-month tenor recorded a bid rate of 11.40 percent, with an offer of 11.90 percent. The 3-month bid rate was 11.44 percent, accompanied by an offer of 11.69 percent.

The data further revealed that the 6-month KIBOR was set at 11.53 percent for the bid and 11.78 percent for the offer, while the 9-month rates were 11.56 percent bid and 12.06 percent offer. These figures provide a snapshot of the borrowing costs for financial institutions and are indicative of prevailing liquidity conditions in the banking sector.
