Karachi: The Karachi Interbank Offered Rates (KIBOR) experienced a slight shift in rates across different tenors, with minor fluctuations observed in both bid and offer rates for the period ending September 24, 2026.
According to State Bank of Pakistan, the one-week tenor recorded a bid rate of 11.38 and an offer rate of 11.88. The two-week tenor showed a minor increase, with bid and offer rates at 11.40 and 11.90, respectively. For the one-month tenor, the bid rate was 11.47, while the offer rate was 11.97.
The three-month tenor saw bid and offer rates of 11.52 and 11.77, respectively. The six-month tenor had a bid rate of 11.73 and an offer rate of 11.98, while the nine-month tenor recorded 11.82 and 12.32 for bid and offer rates. The one-year tenor showed a bid rate of 11.87 and an offer rate of 12.37.
These rates are crucial for financial institutions as they guide the cost of borrowing and lending between banks. The adjustments in these rates reflect the current monetary policy stance and market conditions.
