KIBOR Rates See Stability Across Short-Term Tenors

Karachi: The Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) showed stability across various short-term tenors, according to the latest figures released. On October 1, 2026, the bid and offer rates for the 1-week and 2-week tenors remained steady at 11.43% and 11.93%, respectively. The 1-month tenor reported a slight increase, with bid and offer rates at 11.50% and 12.00%.

According to State Bank of Pakistan, the 3-month tenor exhibited a bid rate of 11.69% and an offer rate of 11.94%. For the 6-month tenor, the rates stood at 12.01% and 12.26%, while the 9-month tenor showed a bid rate of 12.01% and an offer rate of 12.51%. The 1-year tenor's bid and offer rates were registered at 12.04% and 12.54%, respectively.

These figures are critical as they serve as a benchmark for lending rates in the country, influencing various financial products and services in the banking sector. The report provides insight into the current financial climate and potential impacts on economic activities.
