KIBOR Rates Show Marginal Changes Across Various Tenors

Karachi: The Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) experienced slight variations in its rates across different tenors, according to the latest figures released. The data, which was released by the State Bank of Pakistan, indicates a minor fluctuation in the bid and offer rates for periods ranging from one week to one year.

According to State Bank of Pakistan, the one-week tenor bid rate was recorded at 10.21, with an offer rate of 10.71. The two-week tenor showed a bid rate of 10.16 and an offer rate of 10.66. The one-month tenor bid rate stood at 10.09, while its offer rate was 10.59. Both the three-month and six-month tenors maintained a bid rate of 10.06, with an offer rate of 10.31.

In the longer-term tenors, the nine-month bid rate was 10.04, and its offer rate was 10.54. For the one-year period, the bid rate was slightly lower at 10.03, and the offer rate reached 10.53. These rates reflect the current lending environment among banks in Pakistan, giving insight into the cost of borrowing in the interbank market.
