KIBOR Rates Show Modest Fluctuations Across Tenors

Karachi: The Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) for various tenors exhibited slight changes, with the highest bid rate recorded for the 1-week tenor at 11.91 percent, according to the latest figures released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

According to a statement by State Bank of Pakistan, the 1-week tenor bid and offer rates are 11.91 percent and 12.41 percent, respectively. For the 2-week tenor, the bid rate stands at 11.88 percent, while the offer rate is 12.38 percent.

The 1-month tenor has been reported with a bid rate of 11.84 percent and an offer rate of 12.34 percent. Meanwhile, the 3-month tenor shows a bid rate of 11.65 percent and an offer rate of 11.90 percent.

In the case of the 6-month tenor, the bid and offer rates are slightly lower at 11.57 percent and 11.82 percent, respectively.

For longer tenors, the 9-month tenor has a bid rate of 11.49 percent and an offer rate of 11.99 percent. The 1-year tenor bid rate stands at 11.48 percent, with an offer rate of 11.98 percent.

These rates are pivotal for financial institutions as they influence lending and borrowing activities in the interbank market.
