Karachi: The Karachi Interbank Offered Rates (KIBOR) exhibited stability on Wednesday, with rates remaining consistent across multiple tenors, according to the latest data released by the State Bank of Pakistan.
According to State Bank of Pakistan, the rates for the 1-week tenor were reported with a bid of 10.16 and an offer of 10.66. The 2-week tenor showed a bid of 10.21 and an offer of 10.71. The 1-month tenor recorded a bid of 10.24 and an offer of 10.74.
For the 3-month and 6-month tenors, both maintained a bid of 10.24 with an offer of 10.49. The 9-month tenor mirrored the 1-month tenor with a bid of 10.24 and an offer of 10.74. The 1-year tenor also held steady with a bid of 10.24 and an offer of 10.74.
These rates serve as critical benchmarks for lending in the financial sector, influencing the cost of borrowing for both businesses and consumers. The consistent rates suggest a level of equilibrium in the short-term lending market.
