Karachi: During a luncheon honoring Deputy Commissioner Korangi Masood Bhutto, Johar Qandhari, President of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), praised the local business community’s resilience in maintaining industrial and commercial activities despite significant challenges. The event underscored ongoing initiatives aimed at transforming the Korangi industrial area into a model zone.

According to Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, Qandhari emphasized the collaborative efforts between KATI and the district authorities to address the challenges within the Korangi industrial area and enhance its infrastructure and public welfare initiatives. The luncheon was attended by key figures including Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, Senior Vice President Nighat Awan, and other distinguished members of KATI.

Deputy Commissioner Masood Bhutto expressed his commitment to continuing the productive partnership with KATI and prioritizing the resolution of issues faced by the business community, particularly those impacting the cottage industry in Mehran Town. He highlighted the importance of these small and medium enterprises to the overall industrial development of the region.

Further discussions at the event focused on the need for concerted efforts to address encroachments and other infrastructural challenges that hinder the area’s development. Bhutto also pledged to expedite ongoing development projects to ensure timely benefits to the public.

Zubair Chhaya, Deputy Patron-in-Chief, stressed the critical role of industrialization in strengthening Pakistan’s economy and called for enhanced cooperation with district and provincial governments to improve the Korangi Industrial Area’s standing relative to other zones.
