KP-EZDMC Outlines Major Developments in Economic Zones to Boost Regional Industry

Peshawar, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KP-EZDMC) has delineated a comprehensive strategy for advancing industrial growth across the province through the development of economic and special economic zones.

According to Zameen.Com, the KP-EZDMC convened its inaugural meeting with the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Technical Education (IC and TE), Abdul Karim Tordhir, to discuss the progress and future plans of economic zones within the region. The session highlighted the completion of the Ghazi Economic Zone and the readiness of the Mansehra Economic Zone for commercial operations, marking significant strides in the region's industrialization agenda.

The meeting also touched upon the progress in other zones, noting ongoing construction and infrastructure development, particularly emphasizing the Hattar Economic Zone's electrification, Gadoon's commercial development, and unit allocations at the Rashakai Special Economic Zone, a critical component of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Additional achievements include the Nowshera Economic Zone's expansion and the operational success of the Export Promotion Zone Risalpur, now home to the world's largest matchbox manufacturing facility. The completion of the Chitral Economic Zone's construction was also confirmed.

These developments represent crucial steps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's commitment to enhancing industrial activity, attracting investment, and promoting economic growth through the establishment and optimization of both economic zones and SEZs.
