KSE-100 Experiences Volatile Trading as Market Declines

Karachi: The KSE-100 index endured a turbulent trading session, opening positively before experiencing significant volatility that led to a sharp drop. The index plummeted to an intraday low of 3,137 points and concluded the session down 1,789 points at 182,340. Trading volumes also saw a reduction, falling by 25% compared to the previous session.

According to AKD Securities Limited, the technical indicators reflect a bearish trend with the MACD remaining below its signal line since the bearish crossover that occurred eight sessions ago. The index has decreased by 3.11% since moving below its average, ranging between a high of 189,521 and a low of 180,993. The RSI stands at 47.91, indicating momentum below the neutral level.

The immediate support level is identified at 181,500, with a potential further decline to 180,800 and 179,800 if breached. Resistance is anticipated around 183,800, followed by 184,500 and 185,300. Investors are advised to accumulate positions during periods of weakness while maintaining a defined risk below the support zone.
